Designers Markus Jehs and Jürgen Laub developed a new, high-end range of conference chairs for Wilkhahn. Remarkably, the seat shell can be taken apart and reattached in a different way with the armrests being the main link between the seat and the backrest. The original, unitary shell shape is still recognisable, but a high level of visual lightness is achieved by the cut-out section and open armrests. The benefit of this principle is that it is very easy to combine different types of seat and backrest heights to produce different models. In addition, comfort was a top priority in this design. The concept includes the integration of three-dimensionally sprung comfort without involving any mechanic controls.
